Basketball is offered for all ages. We have both indoor and outdoor facilities.
This course offers training using techniques in the tradition of Gracie Barra BJJ ( Carlos Gracie Jr.). Due to the popularity of grappling and BJJ in martial arts, this course is expanded to two separate periods (5 or 6). The focus of the course will be on no-gi training, but there will be opportunities for gi-training. The class will introduce basic drills, techniques in ground-fighting, takedowns, and rolling (sparring on the mats). Previous experience is helpful but not necessary.

If youve always wanted to handle a sword, this is your chance. As a beginner we start with foot work, movement, blade work, and finally, full contact fencing bouts. This class is for gymnasts who have mastered the basics of gymnastics and want more of a challenge. In order to take this class you must be able to complete a good cartwheel, hand stand, roundoffs and do push ups and pull ups with good form. We will be working hard on conditioning and increasing flexibility, back hand springs, round off back hand springs and even play with some elements of rhythmic gymnastics. NOTE: All campers taking a gymnastics class must wear loose clothing, shorts with no belt or leotards and gym shoes or peds - no sneakers!

Have you ever taken gymnastics and feel that you are \"experienced\" and would like to sharpen your skills? Well, here's your chance to perfect basic skills while developing more advanced skills in tumbling, rhythmic gymnastics and team acrobatics. This course is designed for the beginner who has little or no prior experience in Karate. Students who have taken karate in the past but would like a review should sign up for this course. This course will introduce the student to the basic techniques of GoJu-Ryu Karate, one of the four major styles in Japan, one of two major styles in Okinawa. Students will be taught basic blocks, strikes, kicks, stances, and footwork. Students will also be taught Kata (formal exercises) and Kumite (sparring). Philosophy and history of the martial arts is an integral part of the course. The course includes self defense, conditioning, and stretching exercises as well. At the conclusion of the program, the students will achieve 7th kyu (Advanced White Belt). A Karate Demonstration will take place on Festival Day and the students will have an opportunity to perform.
This course is designed for the individual needs of the advanced martial art student. In addition to a comprehensive review of basics and intermediate forms and waza (techniques), students will learn to defend themselves against multiple opponents and armed opponents. Students will learn advanced Kata (based on individual grade of the student) as well as advanced blocks, strikes, and kicking (aerial techniques). Grappling and throwing techniques will also be taught. All students will participate in Kobudo training. At the conclusion of the course, students will achieve either a Purple or Brown Belt. All students will have an opportunity to demonstrate individualized techniques on Festival Day.
This is an inclusive, non-competitive skill based approach to the game of soccer. We usually play a game or two with other camps each season.

This course, swim level 6, is offered for those who have passed level 5. In this class the five basic strokes are perfected. Swimmers will be tested on Intermediate skills and Basic Water Safety will be introduced. Advanced Swimmers will create their own fitness routine, learn flip turns and alternate breathing and work on surface dives. Level 6 swimmers can choose a focus in any one of three areas: skill proficiency, personal water safety, or fitness swimming. NOTE: All the swimming courses are certified and are conducted under the supervision of a Water Safety Instructor and are upheld to the high standards of the American Red Cross.
This course is for those who swim with confidence and are eager to learn new strokes. Well master the elementary back stroke, front crawl, and back crawl. The breast stroke, side stroke and butterfly will be demonstrated and taught. Other skills include alternate breathing, swimming underwater, and diving safety. NOTE: All the swimming courses are certified and are conducted under the supervision of a Water Safety Instructor and are upheld to the high standards of the American Red Cross.

In this course, children will become oriented to the water. They will develop a foundation for safety skills, and they will learn fundamental ways to move in the water. Skills include kicking on front and back, turning over, safety rules, and basic rescue techniques. They be given an introduction to the front crawl stroke, back crawl stroke and the elementary back stroke. Introduction to the fundamentals of tennis; forehand, backhand, serve and volley. Emphasis will be placed on eye and ball coordination, swing and footwork.
This class is for students who have played some tennis before but need to strengthen certain areas while maintaining and improving skills they already have.
This fun and fast-paced game is a favorite at CAAP! The game includes all the great aspects of basketball and football. It is extremely easy to learn and a lot of fun to play. Completely non-contact!
Yoga, which consists of physical exercises and postures, breathing exercises and relaxation, is a great way to start or end your day! It can help you wake up and relax at the same time! Yoga can also help you become strong, flexible, relaxed and focused. In this class we'll practice yoga along with some movement exercises from dance and acrobatics. We'll do guided meditations and visualizations that will help us be more aware of our bodies and clear our minds. Everyone is welcome, you don't need to be flexible or strong. Actors, artists, dancers, singers, martial artists and other athletes will find the class especially useful in conjunction with their other activities.
